Feeling like a cowboy or cowgirl for the day is what the FFA Special Needs Rodeo at Chino Valley High School May 4 was all about. Special needs students in the Chino Valley Unified School District donned cowboy hats and a rope or a stick horse and competed in rodeo events, such as barrel races, pole bending races, roping a fake steer, and then visiting real animals in a petting zoo. Animals included a cow and calf, horse and foal, a dog, bunnies, a goat, and chickens. FFA students ran the show, some dressing up as rodeo clowns. Yee-ha! What a great day!
