The cause of a March 8 fire in the 800 block of Damion Loop is still under investigation, according to Chino Valley Fire District chief John Ginn.
CVFD firefighters responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 that originally was reported as a wild land fire. Upon arriving on scene, CVFD personnel determined that the fire included a large green house and travel trailer. While both the trailer and greenhouse were destroyed, Ginn stated that no other buildings were damaged and no residents were injured in the fire. The CVFD responded with two engines and one water tender.
"The greenhouse was fairly large, about a 20 by 40 foot fiberglass structure, and it took us approximately two hours to extinguish the fire," said Ginn. He added that the CVFD has contacted an investigator from the Central Yavapai Fire District to investigate the cause.
